Concerns of the faculty to be discussed with Dr. Hunter

CONCERNS RELATED TO STUDENTS AND FACULTY:

· Enrollment - (lack of administrative support/action for marketing/recruiting)

[new color brochure is available]

* Articulation/collaborative agreements - (turn around time and administrative support)

* Distance Education - (lack of institutional support, financial aid, cost-effectiveness, clear definition of what is included, who is in charge, who fixes problems?)

* Developmental education - (cutting coordinator positions and reassignment of this function)

* Tutoring - (cumbersome and inefficient process)(softpetal problems)

* Registration/orientation procedures - (more convenient, college success course, tracking students)

* Temporary, adjunct, part-time faculty - (lack of incentives, commitment, quality of instruction, discontinuation of tenure-track positions)

* Lab Assistants - (cuts/problems)

* Course cancellations, trimming schedule (implementation chart)

CONCERNS RELATED TO POLICIES/PROCEDURES/ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT:

* Efficiency/Management: (things lost, never signed, or stalled; bills not paid, priorities)

* Ritualism: (bureaucracy/rigid adversarial policies)

* Morale/Fair play/Exploitation/Workload: (priorities, downgrades, reclassification, extra assignments of staff or faculty with no choice and no corresponding remuneration)

* Spirit of Collegiality: (communication between some administrative staff and classified staff and faculty)

* Faculty Raises
