G. Winland called the meeting to order at 2:05 p.m. in the Culinary Arts room, Room 108, Hazel Atlas Building, Wheeling Regional Campus.

Minutes: The approval of the minutes from the October 2002 meeting were postponed until published. They will be on the Senate webpage, http://www.northern.wvnet.edu/~tdanford/senate

FERC: M. Watson and M. Grubor distributed the latest draft of the new faculty evaluation policy. Several comments were made and minor revisions made. This draft was approved for trial for the current evaluation cycle (one year) (Danford/Gress). The motion passed with some opposition.

BOG	routine meeting; student grievance policy - first reading and discussion
General Education	newly established webpage of minutes, documents, assessment materials; URL will be forthcoming

Old Business: there was no old business.

New Business: Budget Reduction/Reorganization: there was a discussion of the 2004 budget reduction and some proposed reorganization. Although specific details are not yet available, the following motion was approved (Grubor/Poffenberger). The Faculty Senate does not recommend the elimination of the positions of Campus Director or Academic Center Director, but instead recommends the increase in tuition by 4 or 5 dollars per credit hour.

Adjournment: With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:30 pm (?/?). The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Faculty Senate will be Friday, 24 January 2003 in the TELECOM rooms on all three campuses.
