Present: C. Bonfini-Hotlosz, J. Cisney, T. Craig, T. Danford, M. Grubor R. Jennette, V. Larson, B. Matey, D. Poffenberger, S. Rychlicki, A. Secreto, P. Sharma, C. Stokes (presiding), C. Teaff, A. Thompson.
Excused: K. Herrignton.
C. Stokes called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, 16 January 1998, in Wheeling Regional Campus Telecom (304B). Minutes from the September meeting were distributed and approved with minor corrections (Secreto/Craig).
Danford reported that progress has been made, that draft forms and procedures are in the works. He indicated that there would be an update published soon and that draft forms are available for review.
Rychlicki and Secreto reported that this task force has been meeting and discussing the President's white paper. Input from the college community is being sought.
There are several search committees including the Weirton Regional Campus Dean, a directory of the hospitality program (faculty position), and a manufacturing technology faculty position. The Weirton Campus Dean search committee has met and will be reviewing applications in the near future.
Stokes reported several information items. The Liaison committee had a long meeting that was mainly directed at classified staff issues. The FERC committee will be meeting before the Faculty Senate meeting. There will be some IPSI training sessions. A fifth Friday professional development program is scheduled for the afternoon of 30 January; Danford's the program.
