R. Honeman called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. in the Culinary Arts room, Hazel Atlas Building, Wheeling Regional Campus.



Sherry Becker-Gorby addressed the Senate concerning the new faculty responsibilities concerning course and program evaluation of students for graduation. She indicated that some of the problems reported at Senate last month have been rectified. Although the process is new to faculty, she indicated that help is available and that faculty should call upon her for any assistance needed.



Dr. Hunter addressed the Senate on a number of topics, including: direct communication, the Building Better Bridges Campaign, direct marketing, "term vs. temporary" faculty status, the 2001-02 institutional budget, the community college "system" and its support, Northern's use of the ATM system, Wheeling Regional Campus development, community and continuing education, Institute for Ebusiness and Enterpeunerial Studies, evening coordinator on the Wheeling Regional Campus, student activities, and the bookstore. You really had to be at the meeting to get all of this information.
