N. Krupinski called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. in the TELECOM Rooms on all three campuses.
R. Yeager emphasized the following points concerning registration and advising procedures:

The Faculty Senate recommends to Dr. John Hunter, President, that a program director be appointed to oversee the A.A. and A.S. programs and include the General Studies courses. The A.A. and A.S. programs will still retain their separate identities.
This motion (Danford/Herrington) passed unanimously.
Nominations for Professor Emeritus:
The Faculty Senate recommends Dr. Regina Jeanette and Audrey Secreto for Professor Emeritus. (Watson/ Berry)
Board of Governors Faculty Representative:
The Faculty Senate unanimously elected Tom Danford for the Faculty Senate Representative to the Board of Governors. (Lucki/Watson)
The Great Teachers Seminar will be held at the end of June. Any faculty interested please notify Nancy Krupinski.
General Education Symposium
Dr. Hunter would like faculty volunteers to put together a General Education Symposium for the return week in the fall.
Grace Norton is interested in participating in this symposium.
Dr. Hunter has suggested a "Critical Thinking Workshop" by Dr. Elder or Dr. Paul for Fall. G. Norton recommended the purchasing of the guides "Minature Guide to Critical Thinking Concepts and Tools" for each faculty member.
The Faculty Senate recommends to Dr. John Hunter, President, that the book, "Minature Guide to Critical Thinking Concepts and Tools" be purchased for the faculty, but decline the speakers.
This motion (Danford/Norton) passed unanimously.
HEPC policy 2224: The upcoming change dealing with the modification of section 10.5 of Series 9, Academic Freedom, Professional responsibility, Promotion, and Tenure, to comply with state code.

| Curriculum Committee | HIT and Culinary Arts changes RCT computer changes, Student Profile course discussed, as well as the student portfolio. Recommend on-line or self paced format. |
