C. Rogerson called the meeting to order at 2:05 p.m. in the Culinary Arts room, Room 108, Hazel Atlas Building, Wheeling Regional Campus.

Minutes: The minutes from the March 2002 meeting were unavailable yet. Eventually they will appear on the Senate webpage, http://www.northern.wvnet.edu/~tdanford/senate

Merit Pay: The draft proposal for faculty merit pay distribution was discussed and approved. This will be a one year only procedure. In the fall, revision of both the faculty evaluation system and the merit pay policy will be necessary.

Committee Reports:

Academic Affairs/Assessment	end of the academic year report is being drafted
Institutional Technologies	did not meet
Professional Development	recognition banquet was a success
Enrollments Management	no report
Budget Committee	no report
Self Study Committee	progress is slowly going; many group reports are still incomplete
PACE	no report
Library	smartboards have arrived; training will be scheduled
FERC	approved Merit pay situation; considering revisions of the current policy

Elections:

G. Winland assumed the Presidency since he was President elect. B. Matey was elected as Vice President/President Elect and T. Danford was elected as Secretary.

The following individuals were elected to the Faculty Senate Executive Commitee (beginning a 2 year term): M. Goldstein, M. Grubor, N. Krupinski, B. Matey, C. Rogerson, and G. Winland.

The following individuals will be serving the second year to their term on the Faculty Senate Executive Committee: T. Danford, K. Herrington, R. Honeman, G. Pickett, R. Pusz, D. Roth, and S. Rychlicki

Adjournment: With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:25 pm (Craig/Rychlicki). The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Faculty Senate will be Friday, 23 August 2002 in the Culinary Arts room, 108H, Wheeling Regional Campus.
