Presidential Search Update: This is on track, and on campus interviews should be scheduled the first full week in June.

Academic Administration Task Force	plodding forward; working on coordinators' and directors' position descriptions and compensation packages

Garnet Persinger, Interim President: G. Persinger address the senate and discussed the following - 1. policy and governance structure, 2. community college system, 3. graduate education, 4. funding allocatations, and 5. the 6 year compact. She also reported on faculty salary increases.

Senate Governance: The new faculty senate executive committee met but could not elect a President. Without the released time, there were no willing volunteers for this job. M. Goldstein agreed to serve as an interim until the new College President is named and this matter could be discussed with him. There were also no volunteers for the ACF position, especially considering the legislative change requiring this individual to serve on the local governance board.

Committee Membership: Selection of faculty representative to institutional committees was delayed until the August meeting.

Adjournment: With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:45 pm. The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Faculty Senate will be Friday, 25 August 2000 in the Culinary Arts room, HA, Wheeling Regional Campus.
