Two Window Connection
Since the integrated interface is not
working, use the
following directions to use two windows to access DU.
- Establish a telnet connection to DU MOO.
This is best done with a "MOO Client" or other telnet application. One
of the easiest to use is GMUD, available from
http://www.candyland.compu-aid.net/gmud.htm . Download, install and
then use DU's address to connect. DU MOO is located at
http://moo.du.org:8000
- Once you have a MOO client installed and configured to reach DU MOO, connect by typing co
your-character-name your-password . You will be asked if you use a speech synthesizer (answer
appropriately), and you will arrive at your "home."
- Now open your browser and point it to
the web gateway at the same address, http://moo.du.org:8000. Fill in your
character name (don't forget the -td) and password and then click
Open a Web Window.
- Use the task bar or ALT-TAB to toggle between the two windows.
